CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Rhode Island women's swimming & diving team lost to Boston College 179-109 Saturday.

Senior Kate Hawley (Centerville, Mass.) won the 100-yard freestyle in 55.42 seconds, and finished second in the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:16.14.

Senior Shannon Lelek (Fairport, N.Y.) won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.47 and freshman Elaina Duggan (Portsmouth, R.I.) won the 100 backstroke in 1:04.19.

Sophomore Jodi Tveitmoe (Westminister, Colo.) took second in the 200 butterfly (2:10.08) and finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:01.81).

Rhode Island's 400 freestyle relay team of sophomore Caroline Rousseau (Nashua, N.H.), junior Catherine Grise (Chicopee, Mass.), sophomore Erin Baxter (Enid, Okla.) and sophmore Kari Leonard (Pownal, Maine) finished first in a time of 3:47.45.

The Rams (5-7) travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for a meet at Marist on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.
