KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Rhode Island women's swimming & diving team lost to a tough Boston College squad 202-98 Saturday at the Tootell Aquatic Center.

Freshman Alyse Mauro won the 200 individual medley in 2:13.27, took second in the 100 backstroke (1:01.36) and finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:01.94). Jodi Tveitmoe won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:49.39 and finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:34.74).

Rhode Island's 400 freestyle relay team of Kari, Leonard, Elaina Duggan, Jodi Tveitmoe and Katherine Mason placed first in a time of 3:48.40.

Duggan finished second in the 200 freestyle (2:00.89), Kourtney McMenamin took second in the 200 butterfly (2:13.81) and Catherine Grise placed second in the 50 freestyle (25.64). Leonard finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:18.38) and Kelly Tyler was second in the three-meter diving (189.90).

Kelly Dansbury placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:19.36) and Caroline Rousseau took third in the 500 freestyle (5:20.18.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Marist at 1 p.m.
