Kingston, R.I. - The Rhode Island Women's swimming team took third place at this past weekends URI Invitational. Dartmouth took first place and LaSalle came in second. UMass finished fourth overall.

Leading the Rams were Courtney McMenamin, Jodi Tveitmoe and Alyse Mauro.

McMenamin came in first in the 100 yard breaststroke. She took second in both the 200 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard IM.

Tveitmoe won the 200 yard IM and took second in the 400 yard IM.

Alyse Mauro took second place in the 200 yard freestyle and the 200 yard backstroke.

Rhode Island came in second in the 400 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Competing in the 400 yard medley relay were Mauro, Alexia Pool, McMenamin and Elaina Duggan. The members of the 200 yard freestyle relay were Kari Leonard, Pool, Catherine Grise and Duggan.
