2010-11 (Senior):
Helped the Rams to a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay against Maine... Placed second in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly against Maine... Apart of the 200-yard medley relay team that took first place at Springfield in a time of 1:51.72... Placed first with a time of 1:00.77 in the 100-yard butterfly at UNH... Won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:08.24 at Providence... Helped the 400-yard medley relay team to a top finish at the Harold Anderson Meet... Apart of 3x100-yard butterfly relay team that took the top spot with a time of 2:59.54 at the Bryant... Helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team to a win at the R.I. Invitational... Claimed the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.98 versus Wagner... Apart of the 200-yard medley relay team that took second at Vermont... Helped Rhody to a sixth place finish in the 200-yard medley relay at the Atlantic 10 Championships... Also posted a time of 57.83 in the 100-yard butterfly at the A-10 meet. 2009-10 (Junior):
Swam on the winning 200-yard medley relay team (1:50.67) and posted a pair of top of five finishes in the 200 yard butterfly (fifth - 2:17.48) and the 100 yard butterfly (second - 1:00.68) at Maine (10/31)... Apart of the second place 200 yard medley relay team (1:55.18) against Providence (11/7)...Helped the 200 yard medley relay team finish second (1:53.50) also tied for second place in the 200 yard butterfly (2:16.50) against Springfield (11/14)... Helped the 400 yard medley relay team to a third place finish (4:00.99) against Fordham and Duquesne (11/21)... Apart of the first place 400 yard medley relay team (4:01.27) and took third place in the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.75) at the Harold Anderson Invite (12/5)... 2008-09 (Sophomore):
Won the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.72) and 200 IM (2:10.70) at the season opening meet against Maine (11/2)... Had two individual victories in the 200 yard backstroke (2:14.79) and also 100 yard butterfly (1:00.56) defeating Providence and Montclair State (11/8)... Competed in the Harold Anderson Invitational (12/7) were she was victorious in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.19)... Swam in the 200 yard medley relay at the URI Invitational (1/19) placing fifth. 2007-08 (Freshman):
Placed second on 200 yard medley relay team (1:53.97), finished fifth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:21.30) and seventh on 400 yard freestyle team (4:01.34) against Maine (10/27) ... finished first on 200 yard medley relay team (1:53.74), first in 200 yard butterfly (2:17.36) and first in 100 yard butterfly (1:02.45) against PC (10/31) ... placed first on 200 yard medley relay team (1:54.05), fourth in 50 yard freestyle (26.05) and first in 100 yard butterfly (1:01.30) against Springfield (11/10) ... fourth on 400 yard medley relay team (4:07.83) and ninth in 200 yard butterfly (2:20.46) in dual meet against Fordham and Duquesne (11/17) ... second on 400 yard medley relay team (4:05.65), second on 200 yard freestyle relay team (1:41.70), fourth on 200 yard medley relay team (1:54.55), third in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.14) and sixth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:17.83) in Harold Anderson Invitational (11/30-12/1) ... placed fifth on the 400 yard medley relay team (4:11.25), eighth on the 200 yard freestyle relay team (1:47.69), fourth on the 200 yard medley relay team (1:54.86), eighth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:22.54)and 10th in the 100 yard butterfly (1:02.36) in the R.I. Invitational (1/11-1/12) ... finished first on the 200 yard medley relay team (1:54.75) and first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:17.80) against CGA (12/8) ... placed ninth on the 400 yard medley relay team (4:24.34), eighth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:20.44) and fifth in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.69) in a dual meet against Drexel and Connecticut (1/26) ... finished first in the 100 yard butterfly (59.81) against BC.

High School
attended Lenape high school... Scholastic All American... awarded MVP... voted captain her senior year... broke school record and county record in 100 fly... ranked 4th in the county her senior year...county champs all four years of high school.

Personal
Mel was born May 25 to parents Michael and Doris Flynn... has two siblngs Daniel (23) attending Syracuse and Laura (19) attending Montclair State... enjoys music, traveling, scrapbooking, wake boarding and dancing... a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan... plans to major in nursing
