KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Rhode Island women's swimming and diving team once again received the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American recognition, which was announced on Wednesday by the association.

The Rams had a team GPA of 3.38, easily besting the 3.0 standard required to receive the CSCAA honor. The Rams had the sixth-best team GPA in the Atlantic 10, as all 11 schools from the conference qualified.

Individually, 15 of the 25 swimmers for Rhode Island earned Dean's List recognition. Three of the women - Grace Kneller, Nicole Petta and Kayla Zerva - had a perfect 4.0 GPA. Rhode Island has received Scholar All-American honors every semester dating back to 2003.

Among Division I women's programs, there were 176 teams that earned the Scholar All-American recognition. In order to be selected to the CSCAA All-American team, the program must achieve a grade point total of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
