NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Rhode Island women's swimming and diving team fell to a pair of Atlantic 10 foes on Saturday, losing 135-59 to Duquesne and 151-78 against Fordham.

Saturday afternoon's result marked the first time URI had lost a meet this season.

Junior diver Kelly Mohr (Meriden, Conn.) led the way for the Rams as she placed third in both the one and three meter diving events. Mohr totaled 212.40 points in the one meter and 244.43 points in the three meter event.

Rhody also received a pair of top five finishes from sophomore Lilli Falconer (Chicago, Ill.) and freshman Jennifer Lopez (Norwalk, Conn.).

Falconer finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:57.24, while Lopez placed fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle, recording in a time of 11:19.55.

Falconer swam the first leg of the Rams' third-place 400-yard freestyle relay team, which finished in a time of 3:42.76. Sophomore Alex Lalli (Middletown, R.I.), senior Maura Zaneski (Waterford, Conn.) and freshman Katie Mangano (Westerly, R.I.) swam the second, third and fourth legs of the relay.

The Rams return to action on Dec. 5-6 as they play host to the 2008 Harold Anderson Invitational in Kingston, R.I. The two-day meet is set to begin at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 6.
