Swimming and Diving to Hold Instructional Camp

KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island Swimming and Diving team will hold a camp for competitive swimmers at Tootell Aquatic Center that will run Sunday, June 28 through Thursday, July 2. Boys and girls from the ages 8 to 18 are invited to attend.
The camp will be directed by Rhode Island swimming and diving head coach Mick Westkott. On his staff will be: sixth year assistant coach Colin Shannahan, plus Matt Emmert and Keri Cunningham of the Rams swimming club, John Westkott (Head Coach of Men's and Women's Swimming at the United States Coast Guard Academy) and Sheila O'Connnor former Head Coach at the University of Chicago and Colby College.
This hours of the day camp will run from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. This camp will be a stroke/technique camp. It will maintain a low camper to coach ratio. Related topics such as nutrition, dry-land training exercise, and mental training will also be presented.
The cost for the camp is $275 dollars.
