How it Happened
Rhode Island (9-11, 1-1 Atlantic10) could not get any offense going as it fell 4-0 at George Mason in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
After nearly being no-hit in the first game of the day, George Mason (12-10, 1-1 A-10) came out hot in the bottom of the first inning. With two outs and a runners on first and second, Samantha Zaccari singled to drove in McKenzie Jones. Victoria Webster followed with a two-run single to give the Patriots an early 3-0 lead. George Mason added an insurance run in the fifth inning when Brooke Sullivan and Zaccari hit back-to-back doubles.

- Lauren Klepchick doubled and singled to extend her hitting streak to four games. After not having an extra-base hit through her first 14 games of the season, Klepchick has doubled in three straight games.
- Kylie Shivery, Taylor Archer and Marylynn Muldowney each singled once.
