Rams Open 2008 Home Schedule On Thursday Versus BU

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Tonight, the Rhode Island women's soccer team opens up its 2008 home schedule when it hosts Boston University at 7 p.m.

The Rams (0-1) opened up their season on Aug. 22 with a near-upset of No. 10 ranked Texas A&M in College Station. URI newcomers Courtney David - the A-10 co-rookie of the week - and Ina Bjorklid both scored goals for the Keaney Blue.

The Terriers (0-1) also began their 2008 season with a near-miss on the road of a ranked opponent. BU dropped a 1-0 decision at No. 14 Boston College on Aug. 23.

Both teams are ranked in the top 10 of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) Northeast Rankings (as of Aug. 26), with BU sitting at ninth - just one spot ahead of Rhode Island.
