David Named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Freshman Courtney David was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week, the league office announced today.

David, a 5-7 midfielder, recorded her first collegiate goal in the 26th minute of URI's 3-2 loss at No. 10 Texas A&M on Aug. 22.

The St. Catharine's, Ontario native found the back of the net on her lone shot of the contest.

The Rams open up their 2008 home schedule on Thursday, Aug. 28 when they host Boston University at 7 p.m. at the URI Soccer Complex.
