Rhody Rowing Alumna Help Raise Money For Multiple Sclerosis

KINGSTON, R.I. - Associate Head Coach Jessica Lizzi and five University of Rhode Island women's rowing alumna took part in the 24th annual Bike MS Ride the Rhode event on June 25-26 to help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.

Former URI rowers Jill Brockman '08, Meg Cady '07, Jenna Hetzell '10, Lauren Killea '09 and Beth McArdle '08 joined Lizzi as they biked across the New England region over two-days, covering a distance of over 150 miles.

The event featured over 800 dedicated cyclists and helped the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society raise more than $650,000.
