Redfern Selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team

May 5, 2009

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island sophomore Jenessa Redfern was one of 10 women's rowing athletes selected to the 2009 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team on Tuesday in a vote conducted by the league's sports information directors.

To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be an important member of the squad.

In 2009, Redfern (Mystic, Conn.) was in the stroke seat of the varsity eight boat that took third at the Atlantic 10 Championships. In the classroom, Redfern holds a 3.75 GPA in pharmacy.

This weekend, Redfern and the Rams will take part in the 2009 Eastern Sprints in Camden, N.J.
