ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Rhode Island senior Kelly Gurney and freshman Ananda Fraser competed at the NCAA Northeast Regional Gymnastics Championships, hosted by the University of Michigan on Saturday evening.

Gurney finished 16th in the all-around competition with a 37.600 combined total. She posted a 26th-place finish in the vault competition with a 9.700 score, while Fraser placed 42nd in the event with a 9.125.

Gurney also tied for 20th on the balance beam, while finishing 39th on the uneven parallel bars (9.050) and 41st on floor exercise (9.100).

Florida won the team championship with a winning team score of 197.325, edging the host Wolverines (196.050) and Arkansas (195.875. All three teams advance to the NCAA National Championships in two weeks at the University of Utah.
