Rhode Island Gymnastics Takes Third Place At Brown

KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island gymnastics team took third place at Brown with a score of 187.425 in their final meet before the ECAC Championships. Yale took first place with a score of 189.225, Brown placed second (188.075) and Southern Connecticut finished fourth (183.525).
Junior Kelly Gurney placed first in the all-around posting a score of 38.150. Junior Emily Rinaldo finished second place behind Gurney in the all-around (38.000) and also placed second on bars (9.650).
Senior captain Melissa Todd tied her season best on floor exercise with a score of 9.750. Senior Lauren Wurm also tied her season best on bars placing a 9.650.
The Rams will host the ECAC Championships on Saturday, March 25 at 12:00 p.m. in Mackal Field House.
