Game Notes | Live Video | Live Stats

KINGSTON, R.I - Rhode Island travels to Boston for the second time in less than a week when it takes on Northeastern, Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m.

Rhode Island, which holds a 14-6 advantage in the all-time series, has won seven of the last eight meetings between the two teams. The last time the Rams and Huskies met, NU left the Ryan Center with a 56-53 victory on Dec. 3, 2008.

In Rhody's last game, Lara Gaspar recorded her second consecutive double-double (11p/12r) as the Rams dropped a 47-35 decision at Boston University on Wednesday night. Megan Shoniker finished with a game-high 13 points while Caitlin Kearns pulled down a game- and career-best 13 boards. Lindsay Harris also recorded a career-high 12 rebounds on the night. As a team, URI out-rebounded BU by a 53-30 margin and outscored the Terriers, 26-20, in the second half.

Northeastern is 1-1 to date, having fallen at No. 1 Connecticut, 105-35, in the season opener for both teams before bouncing back with a 66-46 win at Delaware State on Wednesday night. The Huskies are 1-1 on the road this season, having yet to play a game at home.

NU is led by Rachel Pecota (11.0 ppg/4.0 rpg) and Kendra Walton (8.0 ppg/4.5 rpg).
