A-10 Basketball Media Day Videoconferences This Week

KINGSTON, R.I. -- The Atlantic 10 Conference will tip-off the 2009-10 season with its Women's Basketball Media Day on Wednesday, Oct. 21 and its Men's Basketball Media Day on Thursday, Oct. 22.

All 14 coaches on the women's and men's side will be available to discuss their teams and the upcoming season. In addition, the Preseason All-Conference Teams will be unveiled.

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, new URI women's basketball coach Cathy Inglese will be online from 12:33-12:41 p.m. ET, to talk about the upcoming season - her first in Kingston.

The following day - Thursday, Oct. 22 - head men's basketball coach Jim Baron will be online from 12:30-12:40 p.m. ET for his media day segment.

The Atlantic 10 has contracted Glowpoint, Inc., for the event, a premiere broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video service provider that was utilized by the NFL and NBA for their 2009 Draft coverage. A replay of the audio portion of the interviews will be posted to the website later that day and the video will be archived on the site.

The 2009-10 Preseason All-Conference Teams and Predicted Order of Finish will be announced at the start of each call.
