The Student-Athlete Development Center will be located on the west side of the existing athletics complex, and will serve as a gateway to the practice fields. The SADC will feature areas for academic advising, strength & conditioning, and athletic training and sports medicine.
The facility will include approximately 10,000 square feet of new space and 17,000 square feet of renovated space, including 4,700 square feet occupied by the URI Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps.
The total cost of the SADC and related improvements will be approximately $10 million. Five million will come from gifts and will be matched by $5 million from the University. Of the $10 million, $7 million will finance the SADC and $3 million will finance related projects.
