Rams Compete at NCAA Northeast Regional Championship

BRONX, N.Y. -- Four members of the University of Rhode Island men's cross country team competed at the 2008 NCAA Northeast regional championship, held at Van Cortlandt Park.

The top URI finisher was Ryan Karwiel, who placed 146th overall. He covered the hilly 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) course in a time of 35:30.7. Nathan Ruchames was 188th overall, clocking a time of 36:23.7.

Michael Pezzullo (222nd place, 38:06.2) and Daniel Hawkins (225th place, 38:15.4) rounded out the Rhody finishers.
