Rhody Places Third at Quinnipiac Invitational

HAMDEN, Conn. -- The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed third today at the Quinnipiac Invitational.
URI totalled 74 points. Host Quinnipiac took home the team title, with 22 points.
Adam Karweil led the Rams with his seventh place finish. He covered the five-mile course in a time of 27:26.5. Ryan Karweil was the second URI runner to cross the finish line, clocking 27:31.6 to place 10th. Ryan Moore (16th, 28:12.9), Chris Bienkiewicz (28th, 29:37.2), and Michael Kazmierczak (33rd, 30:28.7) rounded out the URI scorers. Gary Dodakian (38th, 31:23.3) rounded out the Rhody finishers.
The Rams return to action on Sept. 28 at the Paul Short Invitational, on the campus of Lehigh University.
