KINGSTON, R.I. -- Brian Alexander was named to the 2008 Atlantic 10 Men's Track & Field Academic All-Conference team, it was announced today by the league office.

Alexander, a junior from North Kingstown, R.I., has compiled a 3.79 grade-point average as an electrical engineering major.

He was a key member of the Rams' squad that captured the 2008 A-10 outdoor track & field team title. Alexander scored valuable points in two events - placing sixth in the 400m hurdles and eighth in the 110m hurdles. During the 2008 A-10 indoor track & field championship, he finished seventh in the 55m hurdles.

Previously, Alexander was named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2007 Fall semester.
