PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - University of Rhode Island men's indoor track and Field senior Yudehwheh Gbaa (Providence, R.I.) has been named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week. Gbaa helped the Rams to a first-place finish at the URI Mega Meet on Friday, February 1.

Gbaa placed first in the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.65 and later captured first in the triple jump with a mark of 48-8 ¾. Currently, Gbaa holds the longest jump of the season in the triple jump.

Two weeks ago, Gbaa won a pair of events at the Boston Indoor Games. He won the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.58 also took first place in the triple jump in Flight No. 2 with a score of 14.87m.

The Rams return to action on Friday, February 8 when they travel to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Valentines Classic, which begins at 10 a.m.
