Cross country: Named all-state in 2001...earned first team all-division titles in 1998 through 2001...was elected team captain in 1999 and continued till 2001...helped team win state championship titles in 1999 and 2000...Named MVP 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 seasons.

Indoor track: Was elected as team captain in 2001 and 2002...Named MVP in 2001-2002 season.

Outdoor track: Voted team captain in 2001 and 2002. Coached by James Caron on all 3 squads.

Was a member of the student council 1998-2002...National Honor Society and Rhode Island Honor Society...Youth to Youth 2000-2002

Son of Robert and Cheryl Poland and brother of teammate Kyle Poland...enjoys playing basketball and working with children...Worked at a Day Care in the summer of 2001 and a Lifeguard in the summer of 2002...A hobby of his is collecting sports memoribilia...Most memorable experience was seeing Michael Jordan play at the Fleet Center.
