Men's Tennis Championship Bracket

PITTSBURGH - The Rhode Island men's tennis team rallied past Dayton, 4-3, in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship, this morning at Club 4 Life in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Rhody opened by dropping the doubles point as Jared Dorfman and Jeff Cote were defeated, 8-3, at No. 1 and Adam Gart and James McGuire fell at No. 2 by a score of 8-5.

The Rams turned things around in singles play, taking 4-of-6 matches for the overall victory. Cote, Henrik Almstrom, Gart and Andrew Costin locked up the win with straight-set victories at the second thru fifth positions, respectively.

With the win, URI advances to take on No. 1 George Washington, this afternoon at 2 p.m.

2. Rodreguez/Peyton (UD) def. Gart/McGuire; 8-5
3. Simmons/Hill (URI) vs. Rohana/Koscielski; 6-6 (DNF)
