KINGSTON, R.I. - Junior Ben Robinson won two events and finished third in another, but the University of Rhode Island men's swimming & diving team lost to a strong Boston College team 171-120 Saturday at the Tootell Aquatic Center.

Robinson won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:45.49 and placed first in the 500 freestyle (4:46.35). He also finished third in the 200 butterfly in 2:01.97.

John Proctor took first in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.21), placed second in the 1,000 freestyle (10:20.71) and finished third in the 200 individual medley (2:00.92).

J. Ross Mooney won the 100 butterfly in a time of 53.85. Matt Emmert placed second in both the 200 freestyle (1:47.94) and 100 freestyle (49.04), while Kevin Donlevy was second in the 100 backstroke (55.69) and third in the 200 backstroke (2:00.96).

Matt Hartke finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.58) and Anthony Randall took second in the 50 freestyle (22.51).

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Marist at 1 p.m.
