Sprint freestyler for the Rams...he began his season with a 2nd place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.76, and finished 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.45 (10/29 vs. UMAINE)...was on the 1st place 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.47, swam a 22.50 in the 50 yard freestyle, and was on the 1st place 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:27.16 (11/11 vs. Springfield)....swam a 22.04 in the 50, a 1:51.71 in the 200, and a 49.35 in the 100 yard freestyle (12/2 Harold Anderson Invite.)...he finished his season with a spot on the 200 yard medley relay team that finished 5th with a time of 1:34.86. He came in 9th in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.34*, 13th in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 47.02*, swam a time of 1:46.30 in the 200 yard freestyle, and was on the 200 yard freestyle relay that finished 6th with a time of 1:24.76 (2/24 Atlantic Ten Championships). *Prelims 2005-06 (Freshman):
Made his first appearance as a URI Ram in the meet agaist UMaine where he competed in the 100 (49.75) and 200 (1:53.42) Freestyle events... Through out the season became one of the leaders in the sprinting Freestyle Events... At the Harold Anderson Invitational he placed first in the 50 Free with a time of 22.04 (his record time for the season) and second in the 100 Free with a time of 48.98 and was a member of the first place 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays, as well as the 200 Medley Relay... At the R.I. Invitational he placed ninth in the 50 Free (23.11) and tenth in the 100 Free (50.61)... Denard competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships where he had season best times in the 100 Free (48.09) and the 200 Free (1:48.00).
Par of the Honor Society... received most athletic... All-American, All-District, All-State, All-League... Also played soccer, track, and football... earned 13 Varsity Letters.
Born on June 11, 1986 in Philadelphia, PA to Dennis and Susan Denard... Enjoys helping at the food shelter, church and was a part of Relay for Life... Majoring in Economics and Spanish...
