Lo Presti Named to Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team

2008 Men's & Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Teams

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island freshman Franco Lo Presti has been selected as one of 11 Atlantic 10 freshmen named to the league's 2008 All-Rookie squad.

A native of Whitby, Ontario, Lo Presti was a member of Canadian National Training Centre (NTC) as well as Team Ontario and helped lead his team to an undefeated season as well as the SAAC League and Academy Championship titles. He also played for the Glen Shields Soccer Club Sun Devils and was a four-year MVP at Father Leo J. Austin Catholic Secondary School where he scored 37 goals and helped lead his team to the Ontario HS championship title.

The Rhode Island men's soccer team kicks off its 2008 season Aug. 29-31 when it travels to Durham, N.H. for the UNH Nike Classic.
