DAYTON, Ohio - The Rhode Island men's soccer team outshot Dayton 21-15, but it was not enough as Rhody dropped a 4-0 decision to the Flyers Friday evening.

Senior goalkeeper Chris Pennock (Spennymoor, England) totaled six saves, but allowed three goals as he suffered the loss. Junior Peyton Warwick (Prairie Vallage, Kan.) came on in relief of Pennock in the 79th minute and allowed one goal.

Junior Michael Tanke (Niles, Mich.) and freshman Jamie Eckmayer (Harrington Park, N.J.) led the Rams offensively as they totaled six shots apiece.

Dayton's Isaac Kissi put the Flyers on the board first as he scored on a header in the fourth minute. Kissi found the net once again, less than 30 minutes later, as he connected on a penalty kick, which increased the Flyers' lead to 2-0.

Rhody's best scoring chance came in the first half when freshman Thomas Lindroos' (Espoo, Finland) shot went off the crossbar on a redirect from senior Kevin Shaw's (Denny, Scotland) corner kick.

In the second half, Rhody outshot Dayton 13-7 and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks, but was unable to find the back of the net.

Dayton (6-3-1; 1-0-0 Atlantic 10) however scored a pair of goals in the second 45 minutes. The first came off the foot of Evan McCreary; before Kissi completed his hat trick with a goal at the 85:48 mark.

Rhody (3-6-1; 0-1-0 Atlantic 10) returns to action Sunday as it travels to Cincinnati to take on Xavier at 2 p.m.
