Golf Finishes Third At A-10 Championships

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - Rhode Island junior Jesse Larson finished in a four-way tie for fifth place at five-under par to lead the Rams to a third-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships at Orange County National Golf Club in Florida.

Charlotte won the team competition, finishing at 27-under par to outdistance defending champion Xavier (-24) and URI (-7), Richmond (-4) and George Washington (-3)to round out the top-five in the 13-team field.

Larson finished off the three-round tournament with a two-under par 70 as 18 golfers finished at or under par.

Rhody junior Ben Spitz finished the weekend at even par and in a tie for 15th place, while junior Devon Quigley ended up in a tie for 28th place at four-over par.

Freshman Mark Stevens and junior Jason Pannone rounded out the Rhode Island five in a tie for  32nd place at five-over par.
