HILO, Hawaii - Rhode Island junior Jesse Larson finished tied for 45th with a six-over par 219 after three days of competition to lead the Rams to a 19th-place finish out of 21 teams at the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational, Saturday.
Georgia Tech finished the tournament on top, shooting a 27-under 825. Oklahoma finished second (839, -13) followed by Southern California (840, -12), Hawaii (850, -2) and Stanford (858, +6) to round out the top-five teams in the 21-team field.
Junior Ben Spitz finished with an eight-over 221, tying for 55th place, while junior Jason Pannone completed the tournament tied for 84th place with a 13-over 226. Freshman Mark Stevens finishing just behind Pannone with a 14-over 227, finishing in 88th place in the field of 104 golfers.
The Rams will be back on the links in the Lexus Collegiate Invitational at Naples, Florida on Monday, Feb. 27.
