The sophomore from Jamestown is tied with GW’s Martin Liu at 3-under with a first round score of 69 - his lowest round as a collegiate golfer. As a team, Rhode Island sits in fifth place, with a team score of 291 - just seven shots off the lead.

The Rhode Island golf team travels to Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla. for the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship. The three-day, 54-hole conference championship will be held from April 27-29.
