Senior Send Off: 16 Football Players to be Honored Saturday

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island's matchup with Maine on Saturday will mark the final game in Meade Stadium for 16 seniors. Following their practice on Wednesday, a few of the seniors spoke about what they would miss the most about URI football.

Joe Accino
Offensive line - Wakefield, R.I.
"The thing I'm going to miss most about R.I. football is coming out on Saturdays and playing in front of my hometown."

Jeff Ball
Linebacker - Lansdale, Pa.
"I'm just going to miss all the friendships I gained through playing football."

Frank Dempsey
Offensive line - Hazelton, Pa.
"The thing I'm going to miss most is celebrating a touchdown with my teammates."

Chris Dickerson
Wide Receiver - Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
"I'm going to miss my teammates. We have all worked really hard over the last four years."

Derek Cassidy
Quarterback - Winter Haven, Fla.
"I'm going to miss being around our football family."

Tom Estrella
Long Snapper - Warren, R.I.
"I'm going to miss Saturdays at Meade Stadium."

"What I'm going to miss the most is the team, the hard work, and the games on Saturday's."

"I'm just going to miss playing with my friends on Saturdays and competing on Saturdays."

"What I'll miss most about R.I. football is the hard work all of us put in, and the good results we got out of it."
