KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island's matchup with Maine on Saturday will mark the final game in Meade Stadium for 16 seniors. Following their practice on Wednesday, a few of the seniors spoke about what they would miss the most about URI football.
Joe Accino
Offensive line - Wakefield, R.I.
"The thing I'm going to miss most about R.I. football is coming out on Saturdays and playing in front of my hometown."
Jeff Ball
Linebacker - Lansdale, Pa.
"I'm just going to miss all the friendships I gained through playing football."
Frank Dempsey
Offensive line - Hazelton, Pa.
"The thing I'm going to miss most is celebrating a touchdown with my teammates."
Chris Dickerson
Wide Receiver - Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
"I'm going to miss my teammates. We have all worked really hard over the last four years."
