KINGSTON, R.I. – The final Jim Fleming Coaches Show of 2018 will be held at the Mews Tavern in Wakefield Thursday night at 6 p.m.
Redshirt senior wide receiver Marven Beauvais and senior safety D.J. Stewart will be the guests on the show. Both four-year regulars for the Rams, Beauvais and Stewart will be suiting up for the final time for Rhode Island on Saturday when Rhody hosts New Hampshire at Meade Stadium. Before the game, the team's 18 seniors will be honored.
From Cranston, Beauvais is one of the best Rhode Island natives ever to play for the Rams. Last week his recorded a career-best three touchdown catches at James Madison while also reaching 100 career receptions. His is 10th in program history with 13 touchdown catches, and he has never missed a game for Rhode Island, playing in all 44 possible games over the last four seasons.
A team captain, Stewart is a three-year starter at safety who played wide receiver as a freshman. Saturday will be his 40th career game for the Rams. Stewart has 218 career tackles, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and seven pass break ups over the last three seasons.
Host Steve McDonald will open the show live with Jim Fleming on News Radio 920 AM or via the iHeart Radio app, and segments with Beauvais and Stewart will follow. In addition to the hour-long show, News Radio 920 AM personnel will be on hand with giveaways for fans.
McDonald and Fleming will discuss the 2018 season and Saturday's Senior Day game against New Hampshire.
