Rhody Football to be Carried on iHeart's 104.7 FM and 920 AM

KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island football games will be heard on the FM side of the radio dial in 2018, as most of the Rams' game will be carried both 104.7 FM and 920 AM, URI Athletics and Learfield's Rhody Sports Properties announced Thursday.

The increased radio signal was made possible through the business partnership between Rhody Sports Properties and iHeart Radio. The season opener at Delaware and the Oct. 20 game at Stony Brook will be the only game carried strictly on 920 AM, due to scheduling conflicts. All other games will be simulcast on 104.7 FM and 920 AM, giving a wide audience reach for Rhode Island.

"We are thrilled to give fans another avenue to tune in to and connect with Rhody Football this season," said Devin Berg, general manager of corporate sales for Learfield's Rhody Sports Properties. "We would like to thank our great partners at iHeart for making this possible. Rhody Football has been a staple on the AM dial, and we are excited to now bring it to fans on the FM dial as well."

Steve McDonald will have the call for the games, once again joined by color analyst Terry Lynch. McDonald will be entering his 24th season calling Rhody football games on the radio, while Lynch is back for his 18th season.

In addition to the games being carried on 104.7 FM and 920 AM, the Jim Fleming Coaches Show will continue to be broadcast on News Radio 920 AM.
