KINGSTON, R.I. - The 2018 CAA Football season officially gets underway Tuesday morning in Baltimore when players, coaches and media gather for the league's annual Media Day at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.
Rhode Island will be represented by head coach Jim Fleming, senior safety D.J. Stewart and redshirt senior quarterback JaJuan Lawson. All three will conduct interview sessions with the media and will appear on CAA Football Media Day Live. Hosted by Bobby Broyles and Brandon Noble, Media Day Live will stream on the CAA Football Twitter page (@CAAFootball) starting at 9 a.m. Fleming, Lawson and Stewart are scheduled to be on the show from 11:20 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
CAA Football Commissioner Joe D'Antonio will make some brief remarks to open Media Day. That will be followed by some remarks by former James Madison University standout and 8-year NFL linebacker Arthur Moats at 9:15 a.m. The league also will officially announce its preseason all-conference teams in the morning.
Throughout the day, players from all the teams will participate in the CAA Football Social Stadium, which will be a variety of activities (You Call The Play, Madden18 competition, Trivia Contest) that will be shown across the league's various social media accounts. Stewart and Lawson will begin the day in the Social Stadium from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Stewart also will be conducting a social media takeover of the Rhode Island Rams Instagram account (@GoRhodyRams), taking fans behind the scenes for the day.
