Game Book - PDF

HOW IT HAPPENED

Rhode Island (0-10, 0-7 CAA Football) opened with a touchdown on the first possession of the game, but Towson scored the next 13 points and never relinquished the lead in a 41-10 victory Saturday.

The Rams took the opening drive 75 yards in nine plays. Quarterback Bob Bentsen connected with wide receiver Brandon Johnson-Farrell on a 14-yard touchdown pass to give Rhody a 7-0 lead just 4:15 into the game. Running back Jordan Sebastian had 30 rushing yards and tight end Joe Migliarese had three catches for 26 yards on the drive.

Towson (6-4, 5-2 CAA Football) was led by quarterback Grant Enders, who passed for three touchdowns in the first half to send the Tigers into the break up 20-10. Enders connected with three different receivers, finding Gerrard Sheppard, Cory Kirby and Tom Ryan once each. Enders finished the game 19-for-28 for 231 yards.

The Tigers jumped out on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, as Dominique Booker (181 rushing yards on seven carries) broke off an 83-yard rush. It was the second longest run from scrimmage in Towson history, and the longest Rhode Island has allowed since an 86-yard rush by Maine's Terrel Walker in 2010.

The loss was Rhode Island's 12th in a row dating back to last season, which ties the school record set from the 2009-10 seasons.
