Annual Fifth Quarter Club Golf Tournament Set for Friday, June 8

KINGSTON, R.I.
 - The Rhode Island Fifth Quarter Club will host its annual Golf Tournament Friday, June 8 at Laurel Lane Country Club in West Kingston.

The event – which benefits the URI Football team –is limited to 36 teams and 144 total players, so register early. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and the playing format will be a Texas Scramble (best drive, play own ball to the hole). Following the golf, paying individuals will be treated to a raw bar and barbecue dinner.

The entrance fee is $600 per team or $150 per player. Individuals wishing to attend just the dinner portion of the event can do so for $35.

Back again this year is the Rhode of Glory. For a $100 donation, past players can have their name, playing number and year of graduation displayed on a tee sign on the road leading up into the country club.
