TEANECK, N.J. -- After a 10 day layoff, Rhode Island returns to action on Tuesday night when it travels to Teaneck, N.J. to face Fairleigh Dickinson in a non-conference matchup. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Rhody (8-4) last took to the floor on Dec. 20, dropping an 86-82 decision to Oklahoma State in the O'Reilly Auto Parts All-College Classic in Oklahoma City. Five Rams scored in double-figures, led by Kahiem Seawright's 17 points. He was named to the All-Classic team.

Jimmy Baron had 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Marquis Jones added 15 points. Delroy James and Keith Cothran added 12 points apiece.

Fairleigh Dickinson enters tomorrow's game with a 1-9 record so far this season. The Knights earned their lone win on Dec. 8, in a 71-67 win at Monmouth. Head coach Tom Green's team has played a tough schedule so far, facing four teams from BCS conferences. Eight of their 10 games have been on the road this year.

FDU is led by Sean Baptiste's 15.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He has connected on a team-best 22 3-point field goals. Cameron Tyler is also averaging double-figures in the scoring column, at 11.0 points per game, while dishing out a team-high 35 assists. Three others average 6.6 points or better, including former URI guard Terence Grier (6.6 ppg) who is playing 19.9 minutes per game this season.

As a team, FDU is connecting on 35.6% from the floor and 28.6% from the perimeter - good for 58.2 points per game. They are allowing their opponents to shoot 49.7% from the field and 38.7% from the outside, and 80.0 points per game.

Rhody leads the all-time series between the two schools, 3-0, including a 94-83 victory over the Knights last year in Kingston (1-2-08).

Steve McDonald and Abu Bakr will have the call live on the Rams Radio Network (WHJJ 920 AM; WJZS 99.3 FM), beginning with the Cox Communications pre-game show at 6:30 p.m.
