KINGSTON, R.I. -- On Friday, Nov. 6, Rhode Island will play the first of two preseason exhibition games when it hosts Concordia (Que.) at 7 p.m. at the Thomas M. Ryan Center.

The two teams have faced off in exhibition play in each of the last three seasons. Last year (Nov. 3, 2008), the Runnin' Rams took a 123-84 victory over the visiting Stingers.

This will be the third NCAA Division I team that head coach John Dore's squad will have faced in preseason play this season.. On Oct. 30, Bryant downed Concordia, 88-55, in Smithfield, while Vermont won, 92-46, on Nov. 1 in Burlington.

Concordia, a university located in Montreal, finished with a 12-4 record in the regular season last year. The team advanced to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Final 8 last year, falling to Ottawa, 83-76, in the consolation finals.
