KINGSTON, R.I. -- The University of Rhode Island released its complete 2009-10 men's basketball schedule today, highlighted by 13 games against opponents which participated in the postseason a year ago. Additionally, a full slate of competitive non-conference and Atlantic 10 games highlight the home schedule at the Thomas M. Ryan Center this year.

On Dec. 5, the Rams host Providence at the Thomas M. Ryan Center in the annual meeting between the two schools. Additionally, Rhody will resume its series with Boston College, traveling to the Conte Forum on Dec. 13. URI and Oklahoma State will play to a national audience on ESPNU on Jan. 2, in Rhody's first game at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

After two preseason exhibition games - versus Concordia (Que.) on Nov. 6 and Rhode Island College on Nov. 10 - Rhode Island opens the 2009-10 regular season on the road at Brown on Nov. 18. The Bears are URI's most common opponent, having met 150 times on the hardwood in a series that began in 1910.

Rhody opens its home slate when Holy Cross visits Kingston on Nov. 22, followed by a matchup with Stony Brook on Nov. 24. The Rams travel to Davidson on Nov. 28 and VCU on Dec. 2 before beginning a three-game home stand, starting with the Dec. 5 matchup with Providence - the 122nd all-time meeting between the Rams and Friars.

URI hosts Quinnipiac on Dec. 8 and Northeastern on Dec. 10 before taking on Boston College on Dec. 13 at the Conte Forum. Fairfield closes out the home portion of the non-conference slate on Dec. 20 before heading to Drexel on Dec. 29.

On Jan. 2, Rhode Island will take on Oklahoma State at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. in a game aired nationally on ESPNU. The Rams play their final 2009-10 non-conference game on Jan. 5, traveling to Akron.

In Atlantic 10 action, URI will host three teams - Temple (Jan. 10), Duquesne (Jan. 20), and Richmond (Feb. 10) - that made postseason appearances last year. Additionally, Saint Joseph's (Jan. 13), George Washington (Jan. 30), Massachusetts (Feb. 6), Fordham (Feb. 20), and Charlotte (March 3) will visit the Thomas M. Ryan Center.

On the road in league play, Rhody will face three postseason opponents. The Rams kick off A-10 road play on Jan. 16 at Fordham, before back-to-back games at Xavier (Jan. 23) and Dayton (Jan. 26). Other road A-10 contests: at Temple (Feb. 13), at Saint Louis (Feb. 17), at St. Bonaventure (Feb. 27), and at Massachusetts (March 6).

The three schools that Rhode Island will face both home and away in conference play are Fordham, Massachusetts, and Temple.

For the first time, B101-FM (WWBB) will be the official radio station for URI men's basketball, providing fans with 50,000 watts of coverage throughout the state of Rhode Island and into parts of Massachusetts and Connecticut.

A complete listing of local and regional television broadcasts will be announced at a later date.
