10th Annual Fast Break Club Rams Legends Golf Outing Set for June 14

KINGSTON, R.I. -- The 10th Annual Fast Break Club Rams Legends Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, June 14 at the Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, R.I.

Former URI head coach Jack Kraft will be the Ram Legend honored at this year's golf outing. From 1973-80, Kraft compiled a 103-88 record. His best season at the helm of Rams came during the 1997-78 campaign, where he led the squad to a 24-7 overall record and the team's first NCAA Tournament in 12 years.

A year later, he posted another 20-win season and a trip to the NIT.  Prior to coming to Kingston, Kraft had a highly successful 12-year stint as head coach at Villanova.  He registered a 243-95 record as head coach on the Main Line, taking the Wildcats to the 1971 NCAA Championship game, losing 68-62 to UCLA.

This event is a substantial fundraiser for our men's basketball student-athletes and your involvement is greatly appreciated.

The schedule is as follows:
11:00 a.m.: Lunch and registration
12:30 p.m.: Shotgun start, (modified scramble format, 18 holes)
Dinner, prizes, raffle, and auction following tournament.

The cost for the golf tournament is $135 per person and includes: golf with cart, lunch, dinner, prizes, raffle, and auction. The cost for dinner only is $45 per person.

Individual, family, and corporate tee sponsorships are also available. Those sponsorships maximize the success of this event each year. Sponsors will have their name (or company name) displayed on the course and listed in the tournament program.

This registration form includes an option to sponsor a tee at this year's tournament, and the chance to congratulate the team on a great year. Your support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you there on June 14!
