Dan Szramowski enters his fourth year as a member of the Rhode Island men's basketball staff and his second year serving as the director of basketball operations.

Szramowski coordinates team travel and video operations - including in-game taping and opponent videotape exchange.

He helps monitor the team's academic progress with the team's mandatory study hall sessions, oversees the team of student managers that assist the Rhody basketball program during practice, home, and away games and during the summer, Szramowski coordinates the Jim Baron Summer Basketball Camps, held on the URI campus during the months of June and August.

Prior, Szramowski served as the team's video coordinator.

Before coming to Rhode Island, Szramowski served as an assistant coach at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. During the 2007-08 season, he helped lead the team to a 22-4 overall record and the ECAC Division II championship.

A 2004 graduate of Pittsburgh, Szramowski served as a team manager for five seasons. During that span the Panthers won three Big East regular season titles, a Big East tournament title, and appeared in the Sweet Sixteen three times under head coaches Ben Howland and Jamie Dixon. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., he earned his degree in business marketing.
