Ryan McCloskey is entering his first year at Rhode Island after joining David Cox's staff as the video coordinator in May of 2018.
McCloskey spent the last five seasons with the University of Florida men's basketball program, working for Billy Donovan and Michael White. For the last two seasons, he was a graduate assistant, helping in the day-to-day operations of the program, including player development workouts, practice and game set-up, gear management and distribution and more. As an undergrad, he assisted with day-to-day video operations, filming practices and breaking down film for coaches. During his five seasons at Florida, the Gators won one regular season SEC title and one SEC conference tournament championship. They also reached the Final Four in 2013-14 and the Elite 8 in 2016-17.
He also was part of the support staff for USA Basketball from June 2014 through June 2015, working under Donovan and Sean Miller.
McCloskey graduated from Florida with a degree in Sports Management in 2016 and then earned his master's degree in the same discipline in 2018.
