Terrell Impresses at Portsmouth Invitational

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Rhode Island's Jared Terrell had an impressive showing at the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Starting all three games he played, Terrell averaged 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game as he led K & D Rounds Landscaping to the championship game of the tournament. His team went 2-1, with the lone loss being a 91-90 defeat in the title game.

Terrell shot 51 percent from the floor and had a 3.5 assist-to-turnover ratio for the tournament. In his second game, Terrell had 18 points and made all six of his free throw attempts to help his team win in overtime.

For the last 65 years, the P.I.T has invited 64 of the best college basketball seniors from across the nation to participate in a four-day, 12-game tournament. Representatives from every team in the NBA plus numerous international leagues scout the tournament.
