RHODE ISLAND VS. DAYTON - SERIES NOTES

  • Friday will be the 34th game all time between Rhode Island and Dayton, with the Flyers holding an 18-15 edge.
  • The teams have split the last four meetings, though Rhody won earlier this season, 88-74, on Jan. 20.
  • Senior Jared Terrell and redshirt senior E.C. Matthews combined for 41 points in the first meeting this season. Terrell had 24 points, while Matthews had 17 to go with seven rebounds.
  • Rhody is looking to clinch the regular-season Atlantic 10 title for the first time in program history with a victory.

ROBINSON ONE AWAY FROM 60 STEALS

  • Senior Stanford Robinson has scored in double figures 11 times this season and also ranks ninth in the country with 2.36 steals per game.
  • His 59 steals this year ranks 21st in the nation.
  • He is currently tied with Keith Cothran (2007-08), and Tom Garrick (1986-87) for the fourth most steals in a single season in program history.
  • With one more steal, Robinson would become just the fourth Ram ever to record 60 steals in a season. Tom Garrick had a school-record 88 in 1987-88. Jeff Kent had 63 in 1991-92 and Keith Cothran had 61 in 2009-10.
