– Ticket sales for the 2017-18 Rhode Island men's basketball season have reached record-setting heights with still a full month remaining before the opening game.

Fresh off the 2017 Atlantic 10 championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32, the Rams are experiencing new levels of support from fans. Full-season and mini-plan ticket plans are at the highest level in the history of the program, URI Athletic Director Thorr Bjorn said.

"With the recent success of the team, and the implementation of a ticket sales department in 2015-16, we are positioned to generate a significant ticket revenue stream," Bjorn said. "Fans have reason to be excited about where we are as a program, both within the conference and on the national landscape. With one month until the start of the season, we are confident the sales numbers will continue to grow."

More than 2,700 full season ticket packages have been sold. In addition, 1,000 five- and three-game mini-plan packages have been purchased, which represents the most in the school's history.

Rhode Island will play host to some marquee matchups at the Ryan Center this year including playing host to interstate rival Providence on December 2. Fans looking for tickets to this matchup will either need to purchase a full-season ticket package or look to the five-game mini-plan package, which starts at just $80 per package.

Ticket packages can be ordered online or by calling 401.874.7267

Single-game tickets (excluding the Providence game) will go on sale to the general public starting on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Ryan Center Box Office or by calling 401.874.7267.
