Onyekaba sat out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA  regulations and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in 2013-14.

At Virginia Episcopal School:

  • As a senior in 2011-12, averaged 17.1 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game, helping Virginia Episcopal School and head coach Curtis Staples to an 18-5 overall record
  • As a junior in 2010-11, posted averages of 20.6 points, 15.6 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, and 1.6 steals as VES went 22-3 en route to the Virginia Independent Schools Division III State Championship
