KINGSTON, R.I. -- Online registration is now available for the Dan Hurley Basketball Camps. One session of overnight camp and two sessions of day camp will be held this summer.
The Dan Hurley Basketball Camps will stress all the fundamentals of the game, including drills, motivational lectures, games, contests, individual instruction, and much more.
Overnight Camp will take place from Sunday, June 24 through Thursday, June 28. Campers will spend five days and four nights on the Kingston campus, staying in URI's residence halls and eating in its award-winning dining halls. Tuition for the overnight session is $385.
The first session of Day Camp will be held on Monday, July 16 through Thursday, July 19, followed by the second session beginning on Monday, Aug. 6 through Thursday, Aug. 9. The cost for the day camp sessions is $260.
A two-day Father/Son Camp will be held from Saturday, Aug. 11 through Sunday, Aug. 12. The Father/Son camp - available to boys entering 9th grade or younger - is an overnight camp with meals provided - a dinner & pizza party on Aug. 11 and breakfast on Aug. 12 - and lodging in the URI residence halls.
Over the two days, the Father/Son camp will feature station and drill sessions, 3-on-3 instruction on how to play in the half court, full court pick up games for the kids and the dads, and a late night chalk talk and social with the Rhode Island coaching staff.
Additionally, lectures by Dan and Bobby Hurley will highlight the two-day camp. On Saturday, Aug. 11, Dan Hurley will present a talk on "Drills to Develop Your Son as a Basketball Player." The following day, the Hurley brothers will team up for a valuable session on "Bringing Kids Up In Today's Basketball Landscape."
