Baseball Game At Iona Cancelled

The Rams host Temple in a three-game Atlantic 10 series beginning Saturday with a doublheader at noon.

KINGSTON, R.I. - 
The University of Rhode Island baseball team's game at Iona scheduled for today has been cancelled.


The Rams, who have won nine of their last 10, including their last five, will host Temple in a three-game Atlantic 10 series beginning with a doubleheader Saturday at noon. The Atlantic 10 East Division-leading Rams are 16-13-1 overall and 7-2 in conference play.


Rhody is ranked No. 3 in the latest New England Division I Coaches Poll. Sophomore Zach Zuercher (Warwick, R.I.) was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for the second-straight week and earned ECAC Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing a two-hit complete-game shutout with 12 strikeouts on Saturday against Xavier.
