KINGSTON, RI - The University of Rhode Island lost to Siena 10-1 on Monday afternoon at Bill Beck Field in Kingston. Sophomore catcher Zach Zaneski and sophomore shortstop Mike O'Malley had two hits each for the Rams.

Siena got on the board first scoring one run in the top of the second inning. Rhody answered back with their first and only run in the bottom of the second on a single to left by junior center fielder Dave Savard scoring freshman third baseman Dan Rhault.

The Saints (19-24-1) scored two more runs in the third inning, one in the fifth and six more in the eighth putting the game out of reach for Rhode Island.

Sophomore Jamie Degidio received his first loss of the season after opening up the year 7-0. Degidio pitched six innings giving up four runs on six hits while striking out five.

The Rams (27-10) return to action this weekend when they host Fordham on Friday (3:00 p.m.), Saturday (3:00 p.m.) and Sunday (12:00 p.m.) at Bill Beck Field in Kingston.
