The game was delayed for an hour and 15 minutes due to rain.

Freshman center fielder DJ Burns (Lynn, Mass.) went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored to lead the Rams. Freshman second baseman Wayne Russo (Warwick, R.I.) went 2-for-4 with two doubles and freshman designated hitter Adam Houston (East Greenwich, R.I.) was 2-for-3 with a double.

Junior first baseman Dan Batz (Mohnton, Pa.) had two hits and senior Justin Lamboy (Warwick, R.I.) added a single.

The Rams had two hits in each of the first two innings, but were unable to push across a run. In the third inning, Burns, Batz and Houston each singled, but the only Rams' run came on a sacrifice fly by sophomore right fielder Matt Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.).
